English: A local told me this 7 1/4 inch miniature railway in the Town Park east of the main railway and west of the Roman Catholic church had fallen into disuse over the past couple of years (and the Covid pandemic likely would not have helped) and that was a shame but that it was very popular previously especially on events like Paddy's day. The green vegetation at this point would be hinderance to the train but could easily be cleared and the 400m circular track which was laid in 2005 still seemed in fundamentally good condition. The fairy in the enchanted forest nearby told me a the technical college might construct a suitable model of the Pim - Bergin 1837 "row boat" railway handcar for green running on the railway and that a pig might fly in on a DB990D as a passenger! More seriously the church broadcasts its services over the town park (well it was when this picture was taken) so it is possible to add ones bidding prayers for the return of the miniature train.
