Transcribed from postcard: "The Ballard Playfield House and Grounds. The city of Seattle owns 22 playgrounds, from a block to thirty acres in area. Twelve are equipped with modern outdoor gymnasiums, with experienced super-visors in charge. Four have field or recreation houses, with gymnasiums, libraries, club rooms and assembly halls."


Adams Elementary School in background. Seattle Public Library later retitled their copy "Ballard Playfield and Adams Elementary".
