Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This building at 5325-9 Ballard Ave NW was constructed in 1904 by the Fraternal Order of Eagles after they signed a lease to occupy the second floor of the adjacent Sanborn Building. The two were then interconnected to share the new building's stairwell. The Eagles only occupied these buildings for 4 years before moving to the new Hynes & Fitzgerald Building at 5415 Ballard Ave. The Edward Graeber pool room, Ed Hall's cigar store and the Trapp & Hansberry Hardware store were among the earliest ground floor tenants. The second floor was later used as apartments.
