Summary
[edit]DescriptionBalfour Beatty track construction machine (32185774284).jpg |
Concrete sleepers that were collected by the white sleeper handling gantry have been carried along the train and put down on the conveyor system. The sleepers move forward down the conveyor system to the head of the truss beam where they are placed onto the track bed. The rails are then aligned to the sleepers and clipped into place using a fast clip system. Wagons loaded with sleepers included NR 97118, NR 97131, NR 97116 and NR 97126 built by RFS Engineering Limited at Doncaster Works in 1999. |
