Summary
[edit]DescriptionBalderton Brook - flood management - geograph.org.uk - 282251.jpg |
English: Balderton Brook - flood management The bank and engineering works separate Balderton Brook from its natural outlet into the River Dee. The sluices stop the river flowing up the brook at high tides, but then open to allow natural drainage at low tides. Depending upon the various levels of water in the brook and the river, water can also be pumped out of the brook, over the bank, and into the river. |
