Italiano: Baia Arcile è una piccola insenatura naturale che si apre sulla costa della Sicilia Orientale, non lontano dal limite meridionale dell'ampio Golfo di Catania, rappresentato dal Capo Campolato. La località rientra nel territorio della cittadina portuale di Augusta, in provincia di Siracusa. La caletta è approssimativamente orientata in direzione Nord, sì da offrire una bella vista panoramica sul litorale ionico siciliano, fino e oltre il profilo della città di Catania, sovrastata dall'imponente mole del vulcano Etna.
Nelle giornate particolarmente limpide si riesce a intravedere persino il contorno delle montagne calabresi (città metropolitana di Reggio Calabria). Il centro abitato più vicino a Baia Arcile è il piccolo borgo marittimo di Brucoli, distante circa 1800 metri in linea d'aria. |
