Mohács railway station. Memorial plaque: ~This was the site where the station building of the Mohács-Pécs railway (MPV), built by the First Danube Steam Shipping Company (DGT), commissioned on 2 May 1857, stood.//Mohács Local Government of the City/Mohács City Protection Association 2007. - History: The station was established by the Pécs-Mohács railway, the Danube Steam Shipping Company in 1857. The opening took place on May 2, 1857, but at that time the railway was opened only for coal transport. The railway line to Pécs was implemented with the aim that the coal extracted from Mecsek is transported by rail until now, and here at Mohács it is transhipped to a ship at the port. That is why the station was built directly on the bank of the Danube. The line was opened in July 1857 for other freight, but not until 24 April 1859. - Indóház Street, Budapesti Street (Route 5121) off, Mohács, Baranya County, Hungary.

Mohács vasútállomás felvételi épület. Homlokzatán emléktábla: Ezen a helyen állt az Első Dunai Gőzhajózási Társaság (DGT) által épített 1857 május 2.-án üzembe helyezett Mohács-Pécs vasút (MPV) állomásépülete.//Mohács Város Önkormányzata/Mohácsi Városvédő Egyesület 2007. - Története: Az állomást a Pécs-Mohács vasút, a Dunai Gőzhajózási Társaság/Első cs. és kir. Duna gőzhajózási társaság, létesítette 1857-ben. A megnyitó 1857. május 2-án volt, ekkor azonban a vasutat csak szénszállításra nyitották meg. A mai Magyarország második személyszállítási vasútvonala lett. A vasútvonal Pécsre azzal a céllal valósult meg, hogy a Mecsekből kitermelt szenet idáig vasúton szállítják, és itt Mohácsnál a kikötőben hajóra átrakodják. Ezért épült az állomás közvetlenül a Duna partjára. 1857 júliusában nyitották meg a vonalat egyéb teheráruk szállítására, személyszállításra azonban csak 1859. április 24-én. Korábban Mohács és Erdőfű között is jártak (HÉVszerű?) vonatok. A Bátaszék-Mohács vasútvonal a tervek szerint Bátaszék - Bátaszék megálló - Furkópuszta - Báta állomás - Mohács útvonalon közlekedett volna, azonban a két végállomáson kívül a többi állomás végül sohasem épült meg. 2009-ben megszünt a jegypénztár. 2017-re a vasútállomás egy részén felépült a Mohácsi Uszoda és Termálfűrdő INFO: vasutallomasok.hu - Baranya megye, Mohács, Indóház utca 4.
