Deutsch: Nicht-nummerierte Ansichtskarte um 1900 (versandt am 19. Januar 1909, siehe Adressseite) mit einem Detail-Foto von der Georgstraße in Hannover; das dritte Haus von links (Eckgebäude zur Großen Packhofstraße) war das 1863 von dem Architekten Heinrich Köhler für den Tuchhändler Karl Bahlsen, den Vater des Keksfabrikanten Hermann Bahlsen, erbaute Wohn- und Geschäftshaus in der Georgstraße. In dem Gebäude wohnte der Schriftsteller Theodor Lessing während seiner Jugend. Das Haus wurde während der Luftangriffe auf Hannover im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstört. 1950/51 erbaute der Architekt Karl Siebrecht das (heute denkmalgeschützte) Haus Bahlsen unter der Adresse Georgstraße 29.
English: Unnumbered postcard from around 1900 (sent January 19, 1909, see address page) with a detailed photo of Georgstraße in Hannover; the third house from the left (corner building on Große Packhofstraße) was the residential and commercial building built on Georgstraße in 1863 by the architect Heinrich Köhler for the cloth merchant Karl Bahlsen, the father of the biscuit manufacturer Hermann Bahlsen. The writer Theodor Lessing lived in the building during his youth. The house was destroyed during the air raids on Hannover in World War II. In 1950/51 the architect Karl Siebrecht built at Georgstraße 29 Haus Bahlsen, now a listed building. |
