Description

This is a bagworm moth larva, possibly Evergreen Bagworm Moth (Thyridopteryx ephemeraeformis) – Hodges#457. Bagworm larvae construct bags for themselves out of material they find in their habitat. In this case, I found the larva in a mixed pine-oak forest; this larva's bag appears to be mostly made from pine material.
