Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Bagmati River is originally known as the "Baghmati" river as it was originated from "Baaghdwaar". The "Bagmati" river is sacred and the death rites and funerals are conducted on the "Ghats" built on the bank of the Bagmati river. The placement of the deceased body is placed on the "Brahamanaal". It is said that placing the deceased body on the "Brahmanaal" makes the deceased body touch the land and water. The death rates on the bank of the Bagmati river are considered incomplete without "Ghat" and "Brahmanaal".
