Herman and Katherine Bagley built this house at Fourth and Spring in the 1880s. Originally from Michigan, Herman earned a homeopathic medicine degree before the couple moved to Seattle in 1875. The home was demolished in 1903 to make way for the McNaught Mansion, which was moved from across Spring Street to make way for construction the Seattle Public Library.
