English: Bagh Bhatarsaigh A view of the East facing bay on Vatersay, looking North West across the dunes and Machair separating it from the much wilder West facing Bagh Siar. In the dunes in the background of the picture is a memorial to the tragic sinking of the immigrant ship Annie James from Liverpool, which took place in 1853 with the loss of 350 people en route to a new life in America. |
