English: Bageshwari Temple, Wageshwari Devghat Chitwan.
Bageshwari temple is located in the forest on the right side after going to Devghat from Bharatpur in Chitwan district or entering from Devghat Praveshvdar. This temple is located at B.M.N.Pa 1 Bagishwari Devghat. This place, which is believed to be a goddess, is surrounded by lion statues on both sides. It is found that the devotees of Bageshwar Devi, known as Simhvahini Durga, have been worshiping and offering sacrifices at the same place. Local residents say that this temple was built during the time of the Mallakalin Sen kings, looking at the lions and gajurs of this temple. During the excavation here, carved stones, Bhairava idol, chakra, winged saree idol, Khadgadharini Devi idols were found. Sri Vagishwari Spiritual Council Yogi Narharinath Ashram is also located in this temple complex. |
