Historisches erstes stadteigenes Rathaus der Stadt Bad Honnef
Nach Verleihung der Stadtrechte im Jahre 1862 errichtete die Stadt nach den Plänen des Kölner Architekten Eberlein in den Jahren 1894/95 ihr erstes Rathaus.
Das Gebäude hat eine repräsentative Frontfassade mit historisierenden Schmuckformen. Es zeigt in der stark betonten Eingangsachse einen aufwendigen Portikus mit barockem Ornamentgiebel in dem das Stadtwappen, vier Löwenköpfe und florale Schmuckelemente dargestellt sind. Im Obergeschoß des Gebäudes dominiert ein Balkon mit einer als neugotisches Maßwerk ausgebildeten Brüstung.
Zur Frontseite sieht man vier Dachhäuschen mit eigenen Firsten und durch Kugelspitzen betonte Firstpunkte. Den Dachreiter ziert ein mit Kupferblech bedecktes Helmdach mit starkem Helmknauf.
Das Haus wurde 1986 unter Denkmalschutz gestellt.
