[edit]DescriptionBacks of two buses inside Barking Bus Garage (geograph 7760979).jpg |
English: This photo shows the backs of two Stagecoach London buses with the covers open. The one on the left is 84124 (LF70 YUY) a 2020 ADL/BYD EV with ADL Enviro 400 EV 64-seater bodywork showing rows of rechargeable batteries to power the vehicle. Its blind number 173 refers to route 173 which runs between Goodmayes and Beckton via Chadwell Heath and Dagenham. On the right is 11054 (YY18 THG) a 2018 ADL E40H Smart Hybrid with ADL Enviro 400 MMC 61-seater bodywork showing the Cummins six-cylinder engine. Its blind number 62 refers to route 62 which runs between Barking and Marks Gate via Becontree and Chadwell Heath. Incidentally, MMC refers to Major Model Change which was unveiled by Alexander Dennis in May 2014 as the successor to the Enviro 400. It involved a complete body redesign with new front and rear ends, and Euro VI engines as standard. |
