Summary
[edit]DescriptionBack of the Pickie Pier, Bangor - geograph.org.uk - 1239418.jpg |
English: Back of the Pickie Pier, Bangor. The back of the Pickie Pier seen in 1239412. One of the construction methods of both piers in Bangor harbour was to employ large precast concrete cubes to dissipate the effects of wave action against the sea wall and prevent waves breaking over the top - see 748627 for a closer look. The views looks on towards the coastline and North Down Coastal Path at Pickie with houses on the Princetown Road above. |
