| Description |
English: Back Wharf Street, Sowerby Bridge The top two stories of the buildings here are the backs of shops on Wharf Street, while the lower story consists of separate 'under dwellings', which have a door only on this side. Most of them are out of use, with their windows bricked up. The small brick building visible housed privies. The Carlton Mill is visible at the far end of the street, while the 'Turk's Head' pub can just be seen on the left. |
