The order which these exercisesgive to a childs mental processes and the con-sequent pleasure which he receives are a delight-ful reward to mother and kindergartner. During these exercises in form study be sureyou intersperse counteracting influences oftento keep the mind from working too much inone direction. Especially with sensitive, acute-minded children, watch for any sign of intensethinking, and at its first appearance change thecurrent of thought, allowing sufficient time toelapse to rest the even slightly tired nerves be-fore returning to the work at hand. A goodgame for this purpose is the Exercise Song.As in all the kindergarten games, the action isto be suited to the words ; a thorough change ofposition, thought, etc., is undergone, and a tinylesson in courtesy given by the mutual greetings:
