English: Royal Air Force Voyager aircraft on the ASP at RAF Brize Norton.
Voyager is a converted Airbus A330 civilian airliner, which has been specially adapted for a military role, giving passengers more space and greater comfort for the long journey between the United Kingdom and destinations worldwide. In addition to the carriage of passengers and freight, Voyager is a consummate air-to-air refuelling platform. This multi-role tanker transport (MRTT) aircraft is more efficient and more capable than the Lockheed Tristar and Vickers VC10 fleets it replaced. |
