[edit]DescriptionBWV 327 (edition and note by Albert Riemenschneider).jpg |
English: Albert Riemenschneider's edition of Bach's chorale setting BWV 327 (bach-chorales.com) with his comment about the title. The original composition survives without text. Erroneously, the piece has been titled "Vor deinen Thron tret ich hiermit" by the editors of the Bach-Gesamtausgabe (vol. XXXIX), so that Paul Hindemith used the tune with this title in his "Trauermusik" (1936). The correct title would be "Herr Gott, dich loben alle wir". |
