Summary
[edit]DescriptionBVM 1868 Media PA.JPG |
English: Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM) Media, Pennsylvania. First church, "Brick Church" was
built 1862 as a Catholic Mission, first resident pastor 1868, and used as a church/sanctuary until 1882. The current church building (pictured) of parish of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM) was built in 1881-82, designed by Edward Durang. According to a borough plaque on the Brick Church, 1 block west. Double checked and the sign does say Edward Durang, but most likely means Edwin Durang noted Philadelphia architect of the time who specialized in Catholic Churches. |
