BUCKLE Plate
Description
English: Sheet copper-alloy buckle plate. Folded, sub-rectangular plate, broken at fold. Five rivet holes, with four rivets intact, with very prominent domed heads. Incised horizontal line along both long sides with incised rocker-arm decoration close to the edge. Much woven fabric survives between the plates. The plates have an even mid-green patina, the rivets are dark green/grey.
