English:
A copper alloy medieval single loop D shaped buckle dating to AD1250-1500. It has an offset strap-bar with the hoop extending a little beyind it. The front edge of the buckle is expanded and decorated but is heavily abraded. The centre front edge is considerably more expanded than the hoop either side, where there may have been a knop, each side of this wider section. It is not possible to identify any further deciration. There is some slight damage near the part of the hoop where the pin, now missing, would lie.
The reverse is undecorated. The buckle is 19.89mm from strap-bar to the front of the hoop and 25.67mm in width. It weighs 2.53g.
