Title |
BROOCH |
||
Description |
English: The fragment of a copper-alloy object of uncertain function or date. The item is roughly ‘T’ shaped in form and sub-rectangular in cross section. The surface of the find is corroded and pitted. The find does bear a resemblance to the heavily truncated head of a Roman brooch, perhaps the head brooch stud (Group Q), characteristically stout and heavy (Collingwood & Richmond 1969, 296). However due to the condition of the object it is not possible to say with certainty. |
