Title
BROOCH
Description
English:

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman T-shaped brooch, dating to the period AD 50-150. The brooch measures 28.13mm in length and 7.71mm in width. It is 2.37mm thick and weighs 1.45g. The patina is relatively rough, the colour is mostly light green, with some brown specks in the cells of the decoration. The pin, the wings and the upper part of the body are missing.

The lower part of the bow is decorated with two lozenge shaped cells, being framed by two ridges. There is the possibilty that these cells used to be enamelled, though no residue of the material remains. The bow becomes more narrow towards the foot, from 7.71mm at the top to 1.37 at the bottom. The catchplate is 14.64mm long and 5.3mm wide.
