English: Having assassinated on 8 January 1354 the king of France's favorite, Charles de la Cerda, constable of France, the King of Navarre Charles II came to ask for forgiveness of King John II the Good, while the queens Jeanne of Evreux (aunt of the culprit) and Blanche of Navarre (his sister) intercede for him. |
