[edit]DescriptionBLDG 25 - AERIAL - MSC (S63-00151).jpg |
English: S63-00151 (9 Jan. 1963) --- This aerial view of early construction of the Manned Spacecraft Center is looking basically toward the north. Building 25, the fire station, is the more nearly complete of the two buildings seen under construction on the left side of the frame. Building 24, the Central Heating and Cooling Plant, is just getting started. Actually at this stage of the history, Building 25 was known as Building 250. The elevated water storage tank is Facility No. 40, at the intersection of Avenue B, which runs horizontally along the top of the image, and Second Avenue, which runs vertically throughout the picture to the right of center.
