Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The combined team of Philippine and U.S. Army engineers spent an average of 15 hours every day, integrating every facet of their deployed lives, to complete three construction projects benefiting the Manggahan Barangay in the Palauig Municipality. The team took turns writing their names on a giant wooden mural to creatively illustrate the blending of their personalities and professional skills. The Manggahan projects were among seven other engineering civic action projects completed by Combined/Joint Civil Military Operations Task Force units during Exercise Balikatan 2013. Balikatan is an annual Philippine-U.S. bilateral exercise. Humanitarian assistance and training activities enable the Philippine and American service members to build lasting relationships, train together and provide assistance in communities where the need is the greatest.
