Opened in 1909 as the Herridge Memorial Primitive Methodist Church, commemorating Primitive Methodist minister James Herridge (1824–1905) and his wife, who died in 1909. It was re-registered as an Elim Pentecostal Church in April 1957, replacing the former Elim Tabernacle nearby which had been used since the 1920s. |
