Summary
[edit]DescriptionBERy route 18 bus in Codman Square, circa 1941.jpg |
English: A Boston Elevated Railway bus on the #18 Fields Corner Circuit route at Codman Square around 1941. The route ran from Ashmont station to Uphams Corner via Talbot Avenue, Washington Street, Bowdoin Street, and Hancock Street, then returned via Stoughton Street, Savin Hill station, and Dorchester Avenue. The route was discontinued in 1954; a low-frequency route ran from Codman Square to Uphams Corner until 1960, and the Dorchester Avenue part of the route is today's #18 bus. The bus is #1677, an H-16S built in 1939 by American Car & Foundry. |
