Description
English: The flag of the Damasco Educational Institution, municipality of Santa Bárbara, department of Antioquia in the Republic of Colombia, was invented and designed by the Chocoano teacher Nilxon Gustavo Rodríguez Maturana graduated in Chemistry and Biology and specialist in Informatics and Telematics, on May 5 In 1998, this flag was adopted and made official as a representative institutional symbol, with Elkin Alfonso Galeao Castañeda being the rector of the Damasco educational institution in 1998.
Español: La bandera de la Institución Educativa Damasco, municipio de Santa Bárbara departamento de Antioquia en la república de Colombia, fue inventada y diseñada por el docente chocoano Nilxon Gustavo Rodríguez Maturana licenciado en Química y Biología y especialista en Informática y Telemática, el 5 Mayo de 1998, la presente bandera fué adoptado y oficializado como símbolo representativo institucional siendo rector de la institución educativa Damasco el licenciado Elkin Alfonso Galeao Castañeda en el año de 1998.

COLORES:

  • Amarillo.
  • Verde.
  • Azul.

EXPLICACIÓN:

Amarillo: Representa al color del mango uno de los principales productos de exportación por el cual se reconoce al corregimiento en la región.

Verde: La exuberante naturaleza de los cerros que rodean al corregimiento que lo hacen un importante paraje turístico.

Azul: Simboliza al bello color del cielo que predomina en la mayor parte del año, además al rio buey principal cuenca hidrológica del corregimiento.

Registrado ante la DNDA del Ministerio de Interior y de Justicia de Colombia y protegido con el registro 5-348-203
