Description |
English: Cast copper alloy oval plate brooch with enamel. A flat oval brooch with a broad outer band of enamel. The flat plate is divided into two zones by a reserved metal ridge, concentric with the outer rim. The central field is recessed and empty. It may have contained a glass intaglio. The outer field contains alternating blocks of red and turquiose enamel. At the back is a single lug for attaching the missing pin, and opposite it, on the longitudinal axis, is the remnant of a catchplate.
