Description
English: The map is taken from Olivier Van Noort's Description du penible voyage faict entour de l'univers ou globe terrestre, published by Cornelis Claesz in 1602. This is the first account of Van Noort's voyage, which would later be reprinted by De Bry. Engraved by Benjamin Wright, the map shows Borneo and the surrounding islands. It depicts Van Noort's ship in the large bay of Brunei
