Description Tannenburg bei Bühlertann. Der reichlich unleserliche Text lautet: „Die noch ziemlich intakte Burganlage – eine der geschlossensten Schildmauerburgen des Landes – ist vom Kloster Ellwangen zur Sicherung seines Territoriums angelegt worden. Die spätstaufische Anlage entstammt dem Ausbau der ersten, wohl schwächeren Anlage des 11./12. Jh. Unter den noch erhaltenen hochmittelalterlichen Teilen verdient vor allem die Schildmauer Beachtung. Mit ihren 4 m Stärke ist sie die dickste im Land.”
