Description
Français : La première pierre de l'église Notre Dame des enfants a été bénite en même temps que la première statue de Notre Dame des enfants, le 29 août 1869 par Mgr de la Tour d'Auvergne, archevêque de Bourges. Les plans dus à monsieur MARGANE, architecte à Vendôme, ont été modifiés et complétés par monsieur AUCLERC, architecte à Bourges. Les travaux de construction furent dirigés du commencement à la fin par le digne collaborateur de l'Abbé DUCROS, le cher frère HARIOLF (1825-1910) directeur de l'école libre de Châteauneuf-sur-Cher. La construction a été complétée dans ses détails et son ameublement par le chanoine HOROUX, curé doyen. Ce sanctuaire fut érigé en basilique mineure affiliée à Saint Pierre de ROME, le 18 juillet 1896 par le Pape Léon XIII et consacrée solennellement le 24 avril 1898 par Mgr SERVONNE, archevêque de Bourges.
