English: Allegedly based on: 1- The Book of Roads and Kingdoms (Arabic: كتاب المسالك والممالك‎, Kitāb al-Masālik w’al- Mamālik) by the Persian geographer Ibn Khordadbeh, pp. 118 & 119
العربية: والجَربى بلاد الشمال ربع المملكة وكان أصبهبذ الشمال على عهد الفرس يسمى اذرباذكان أصبهبذ وفي هذا الحيّز إرمينية و آذربيجان والريّ ودُماوَنْد ومدينة دماوند شَلَنبَة قال بهرام جور‏:‏ مَنَم شير شَلَنبَه ومنم بَبْرِ تَلَه وفيه طبرستان والروبان وآمُل وسارية وشالوس واللاّرز والشِّرز وطميس ودِهستان والكلار وجيلان وبدشوارجر وملك طبرستان وجيلان وبدشوارجر يسمى جيل جيلان خراسان قال محمد بن عبد الملك‏:‏ قد خُضِبَ الفيل كعاداته لجيل جيلانِ خراسانِ والفيل لا تُخضَبُ أعضاؤه إلاّ لذي شأنٍ من الشانِ وفي هذا السقع الببْر والطيلسان والخَزَر واللان والصقالب والأبَر‏.‏
