Description
Magyar: Az Országos Kisdedóvó Egyesület fő célja, bentlakással és mintaóvodával összekötendő óvóképző-intézet létrehozása volt. ...Már 1874-ben sikerült a főváros hatóságától három, egymás melletti, kis telket megnyerni. Az „első magyar ált. biztosítótársaságnál" 25,000 frt kölcsönt vett fel az egyesület, Tisza Kálmánné közbenjárására a közoktatási miniszter nemcsak e kölcsön részletes törlesztését vállalta, hanem 5000 frt-ot államsegélyül ajánlott fel az építésre. Az egyesület választmányi tagjai, az elnök grófnővel élükön, adományok gyűjtésében is nagy tevékenységet fejtettek ki, s íme az eredmény: a mintegy 68,000 frt-ba került épület készen áll, ép oly diszes, mint célszerü; s a múlt hó 21 -kén, királyunk és királynőnk jelenlétében ünnepélyesen meg is nyittatott. Az egyemeletes, neoreneszánsz iskola 1875/76-ban Pucher József tervei szerint, saját kivitelezésében épült – a Rózsák tere felé néző főbejárattal és a Péterfy Sándor utca felé néző (gazdasági) bejárattal. Az építtető az Országos Kisdedóvó Egyesület volt. Ma: Rózsák tere 6/7. Iskola és óvoda.
