Summary
[edit]DescriptionAyr railway station, Ayrshire (geograph 3676793).jpg |
English: Ayr railway station, Ayrshire Opened in 1886 by the Glasgow & South Western Railway on what is now the line from Glasgow to Stranraer Harbour, this replaced an earlier station at the north end of this site, which had opened in 1856 as "Ayr Townhead". That closed on the same day as this one opened. In effect, the station migrated a couple of hundred metres south. View south west towards Maybole Junction and Stranraer. |
