Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A stimulation occurs at a point along the axon after it bifurcated; the electric signal flows backwards towards the branching point (whereas it would normally flow only towards the terminal if coming from the soma.) The electric signal then flows to all effector organs that the neuron innervates, as well as stimulating the soma of the parent neuron.
