Description
English: A fragment from a possible axe or palstave of Bronze Age date. Only part of the blade end survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.

The worn and corroded cutting edge is crescentic in form, extending beyond the remaining side of the axe. It is triangular in profile and has a blade bevel. What remains of the body of the axe is rectangular in form and section with no evidence for flanges. All surfaces have the remains of a dark brown patina.

This axe measures 49.77mm in length, 19.46mm in width, 6.66mm in thickness, 23.55g in weight.
