Description
English: Originally a core which has been turned into an awl or piercer. There is retouching along each edge towards the point. There is some cortex remaining which acts as backing when using the tool. The ventral face is concave in shape and smooth to the grip.

The flint is light grey/cream in colour and was likely derived from a local beach pebble.

Bond [2004] illustrates a similar example on page 137, fig.5.124, No.28, and Butler [2005] also illustrates a similar example on page 186, fig.76, No.2 both are dated to the late Neolithic.
