Title
awl
Description
English: A thick triangular section flake with an abraded butt from the edge of a core, made from dark grey brown lightly rolled pebble flint with cream flecks. The triangular section is maintained to the tip and the distal ventral surface is totally invasively retouched to control the form and thin the tip. There is fine abrupt finish. The tip has a transverse scar and may have been snapped from a sharp point. Mercer(1981) illustrates a piercer on page 135, fig 59, L151.
