Summary
[edit]DescriptionAvro Vulcan and an admirer (Explored) - Flickr - M McBey.jpg |
At Solway Aviation Museum, near Carlisle, Cumbria. A preserved Cold War nuclear bomber. This is the only complete example of the B.2(MRR) variant, which later in its' service career, was used for maritime reconnaissance. After several years of trying I was finally able to visit the museum. (It had always rained before). In topical news, (August 2024) this museum is in the process of getting the ONLY surviving example of the big Blackburn Beverly military transport aircraft. Quite a coup. |
