PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 5, 2014) Aviation Machinist's Mate Airman Nathan Mitchell, from Wichita, Kan., performs maintenance on the tail rotor of an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter from the Golden Falcons of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 12 on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). George Washington and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
