Français : Description : L'avenue Sainte-Geneviève a été nommée ainsi en hommage à sainte Geneviève (vers 422-502) patronne de Paris, native de Nanterre. Grâce à ses prières, la vierge chrétienne détourne de Lutèce - aujourd'hui Paris - les armées d'Attila, roi des Huns (451). Plus tard, elle sauvera Paris contre les Francs en fournissant du ravitaillement aux assiégés, ce qui lui vaudra le titre de patronne de Paris. La Montagne Sainte-Geneviève à Paris, dominée par le Panthéon, rappelle son souvenir. À Québec, un autel de l'église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires est dédié à sainte Geneviève.
