Foto tirada do Majestic Palace Hotel A Avenida Beira Mar Norte é uma avenida de Florianópolis. Localiza-se na região central da cidade, no bairro Centro, entre a parte inferior da Ponte Hercílio Luz e o viaduto de acesso ao Norte da Ilha. Trata-se de uma avenida que corre junta ao mar, sem, contudo, possuir uma praia. O mar, no caso, bate em pedras que encontram diretamente um calçadão, onde é comum encontrar moradores e turistas passeando, se exercitando ou andando de bicicleta pela ciclovia que o ladeia. A Avenida Beira Mar Norte possui três pistas paralelas, de modo que a mais externa dá acesso ao sul da cidade, a do meio dá acesso à entrada das pontes que levam à região continental da cidade e mais interna corre em sentido oposto às outras duas, levando ao norte da cidade. Ela é famosa, ainda, por ser uma das regiões mais valorizadas da cidade. Uma cobertura, por exemplo, pode custar mais de R$6 milhões[carece de fontes?]. Todo ano a principal festa de ano-novo em Florianópolis ocorre à Beira-Mar. A festa é uma das maiores do Brasil, chegando a receber até 350 mil pessoas (2007/2008). |
