The merits and eharacterlBties of the Early Jersey Wakefield Call-

seen it, we may slate that it is unlverBally considered the best early Cab-
bage in cultivation. Among its merits uiay be mentioned its large size ot
head for an early sort, small outHlde toliuge. and its uniformity In pro-
ducing a crop. The heads are pyramidal In shape, having a blunted or

better variety is in cultivation to-day among the early klndsj" — Country

OR LARGE TYPE
OF WAKEFIELD.
For some year.s past cUHtoniers have requested us to procure for them,
if possible, aCabbage which liad all the characterlHtics of the Early .Jersey
Wakefield but of a greater size. With this in view, we carefully Belected
from one ot our best stocks ot Wakefield a larger type, which is now so
fi.xed in its character thatwe can offer Itwith confidence to those desiring
a Cabbage of this kind. Tliis selection will average about .'•0 per cent,
larger in size than the old type ot Wakefield, and Is only two or three
davs later. Price, 10c. per pkt. ,40c per oz..$1.25per V4 lb.,f t 00 per lb.
THE CHARLESTON
Henderson's Succession Cabbage.
IS POSITIVELY THE
FINEST CABBAGE IN EXISTENCE,
Whether for Medium Early, Main Crop or Wlater use,
PERFECT la every respect.
The Succession Cabbage we consider one of our most valu-
able contributions to horticulture. It would be classed as a
8e.'ond early, coming in a tew days later than Early Summer,
but It is iinmeaHurablvBuperlor to that variety; itlsof nearly
double thesizeanil Is absolutely true to Its type under allcon-
ditions. In aildlllon to this. It has no tendency whatever to
run to 8e.'d. We can say without exaggeration that it is the
finest Cnbhnge in existence to-day: whether for medium early,
main crop orlateuselt has no equal. It is so finely bred and
BO true to type that In a field of twenty acres every head ap-
pears alike. We can recommend it either tor the market gar-
dener, trucker or private planter, as it la a perfitt cabbage in
every respe.'t, not only being of thelargt-st size, but ot hand-
some color and of the flnest quality. It lBi)nd)ably the safest
variety for an amateur to plant, as It does well at all seasons,

and one is almoHt sure of getting a crop, no matter when It Is

Public domain

This tag is designed for use where there may be a need to assert that any enhancements (eg brightness, contrast, colour-matching, sharpening) are in themselves insufficiently creative to generate a new copyright. It can be used where it is unknown whether any enhancements have been made, as well as when the enhancements are clear but insufficient. For known raw unenhanced scans you can use an appropriate {{PD-old}} tag instead. For usage, see Commons:When to use the PD-scan tag.

Note: This tag applies to scans and photocopies only. For photographs of public domain originals taken from afar, {{PD-Art}} may be applicable. See Commons:When to use the PD-Art tag.
