Summary
[edit]DescriptionAutovon communications centre, Foxhall Road - geograph.org.uk - 1154674.jpg |
English: Autovon communications centre, Foxhall Road This place, just off the Foxhall Road out of Ipswich, was the main voice communication centre for US forces in the UK throughout the cold war. One building is now used by the Suffolk Aviation Heritage Display Centre, but the remainder is empty and heavily vandalised.
The towers are partially dismantled, and originally carried big dishes. |
