Native, yearlong-green, perennial, tufted and erect grass to 2 m tall. Cane-like stems arise from short rhizomes; often branched at the nodes. Found in a wide range of habitats, but tends to be most common in moist and/or more fertile areas, such as around trees and on river flats. Highly drought tolerant. |
