English: The Nativity scene creator & artist Wilson Fernandez has been building and creating the nativity crib scenes to capture the wonders & essence of Christmas, & the birth place of baby Jesus for many years. At St. Elizabeth's Parish, Dandenong North, Australia - since 2003. The Nativity scene has been growing and getting better every year. The Nativity scene tells the story of Jesus, born in a manger in the town of Bethlehem on Christmas day. The creator uses various materials to create the scene from natural materials like sand, rocks, wood, palms... that gives the viewer the impression of the times of Christ era. The photos (http://picasaweb.google.com/Fernzaustralia) from over the years are self explanatory. Every year its a new design that the visitors may not want to miss. Family,friends and the communities are welcome to view the Nativity scene during the Christmas time at
St. Elizabeth's Parish 107 Bakers Road Dandenong North Victoria 3175 Each week with the start of advent the artist creates the scene and maintains it on a regular basis introducing and moving figurines every week. It is a good story telling process to the children and all those interested in knowing the meaning of Christmas. This display continues until the three kings arrive to visit baby Jesus in the manger at Bethlehem. The scene displays a regular village life with a society of villagers, traders, travellers, farmers, animals... In week 1, Wilson introduces - Entry of Joseph & Mary in Bethlehem city, no room at the Inn but manage to stay in a stable, birth of Jesus Christ, angel announces good news, shepherds visit, three wise men visit Baby Jesus & the last scene, the holy family flee to Egypt. |
